I am trying to use ReportViewer 9 in Visual Studio 8 but I get this error when I try to run the page: The base class includes the field 'ReportViewer1', but its type (Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer) is not compatible with the type of control (Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportViewer). I have just switched to VS 2008 Standard, from VS 2005 Express. I opened my VS 2005 Express website in VS 2008, chose the option ASP 3.5 because I want to upgrade it for the next developments, and clicked the debug button. Hi everyone I developed a web form with a report viewer. I change the report datasource and report path based on user input. Before i do anything on the report i first reset it with this line: rvWaitTime.Reset(); And then set the parameters, datasources, etc. It works fine on my dev machine: Windows Vista with .NET 2.0 installed (.NET 3.0 is installed as well). Ok folks I need some help here. I have MS Server 2003 with IIS installed. Frameworks 2.0, 3.0 & 3.5 installed. The server has VS 2008 Web Developer installed because I am developing on it remotely. When I run the web site from inside VS everything is fine.
